OSU is reputable for its flexible educational services through regular, evening, weekend and distance programs. For example, over the last two decades, a total of 47,997 students have successfully graduated from the university’s diploma, first degree and master’s level educational services through regular, evening, weekend and distance programs.
After the new structure of the university, five colleges are formed; College of Law and Governance, College of Development Studies, College of Finance and Management Studies, College of Science and Technology and College f Health Science.
At present, OSU runs educational departments in the areas of Accounting and Public Finance, Human Resource Management and Leadership, Agricultural Business & Value Chain Management, Economics, procurement & Supply Chain Management, Law and Information Technology that deliver educational services at first degree level in several towns across Oromia through weekend programs and at its Batu main campus through evening, weekend and regular programs.
OSU also provides graduate (masters) level education in Leadership and Change Management (LCM), Public Financial Management (PFM), Development Management and Commercial and Investment Law (LLM) through weekend program at its educational centers in Shashamane, Adama, Bishoftu, Burayu, Sululta and Sabata towns and through weekend and regular programs at its Batu main campus. So far, over a thousand students have graduated from its masters level educational programs in 3 rounds.
