Chala Dechassa, PhD. Associate professor, undertook his PhD studies at Addis Ababa University, College of Development Studies. He authored more than 9 journal articles.  He supervised a number of Master’s thesis and has been advising on PhD dissertations. Currently, working in the capacity of Dean of the school of Graduate Studies, Research and Publication. He is an Experienced professor with 10+ years in Higher Education Specialized in teaching, training, research and consultancy. HE worked at wollega university from 2010 -2018 as lecturer and assistant professor and coordinator for evening programs in the university.  and distance He is currently working as a senior staff for college of Finance and Management Studies, of Oromia state university teaching Advanced research, Project management, public policy, Livelihoods and Development, Poverty, Vulnerability and social protections for graduates and PhD Students.    He is also a chief editor for international journal of Leadership and public sector Reform (IJLPSR). Dr. chala has also engaged at various research and consultancy work in areas of Organizational structure and Design, Labor market studies, Ethiopian Vital event registration. Currently, working as Focal person for research conducted on Ethiopian Great renaissance dam (GERD) owned by Oromia National Regional State Project Office for the Coordination of Public Participation of Grand Rennaisance Dam

    Work experience

Since 2012 – present

·       Conduct teaching, research, training and consultancy in the field of leadership, management, project and development studies.

·       Develop and thought course materials for a range of MA/Msc and PhD courses in the field of management, leadership, Project management and development studies

·       Actively involved in creating, revising and updating curriculums to ensure students success in their field of specialization

·       Actively engaged in students advising counselling, and developing via different academic activities, new programs and initiating and ensure student learning experiences.

·       Actively engaged on university level standing and ad hoc committee activities and participated on university legislation revision, 

·       engaged in e- learning platform development, via different academic and new program development.
