Consultancy

The regional bureaus, federal institutions, companies, development institutions, institutions of higher learning, development associations, town/ city administrations and various regional states have benefited from consultancy services provided by the university.

In parallel to educational program,  the university has trained about 14, 000 civil-servants (on average) per annum in short- term training in the areas of information technology, legal service, tax accounting, leadership, gender issues, human resource management, Business Process Re-engineering(BPR), Growth and Development Plan and on different issues as well.

Since its establishment, the institution has trained more than 210,000 public servants drawn from various bureaus in Oromia based on need assessment. And it has been managed to enable the bureaus in filling their capacity gap and enhance their performance. Meanwhile, the university engaged its academic staff on offering training and consultancy and participating on problem solving researches. It also carried training facilitation and coordination activities based on training demands of various organizations. Besides employees of Oromiya bureaus, Federal bureaus, non-governmental organizations and various development institutions have trained their employees in the university. Its location on the shore of Lake Zeway, attractive campus, well equipped training rooms and hospitable university community makes training and education at OSU a special experience.
